How to Make a Meal Replacement Shake

Good morning sexy! While we're working on Getting Your Sexy Back, it's time to talk about how to make a healthy, delicious, meal replacement shake. Whether your goals involve doing one or two meal replacements per day, follow these tips to make sure you're getting a proper nutrition balance for your body to be fueled on.

Today I'll show you how to make one.

I suggest having a Nutribullet (or similar type blender) to mix everything smoothly. Keep in mind if you are trying to lose weight as part of your goals, you want to use low glycemic fruits (no bananas!) as your fruit option. Also, you can mix the protein shake powder with water or a nut milk, but that would be more of a snack and not a meal replacement shake. To make it a meal replacement shake, you need a balance of ingredients (see the diagram for the breakdown).

In this shake:

Pop these in your bullet and blend!

- Ice (optional - keeps it cold longer) - 2 scoops Arbonne protein shake powder (vanilla)

- 1 to 2 Tbsp peanut butter (for your healthy fat source)

- Sprinkling of fresh kale (for your leafy greens)

- 1/4 to 1/2 c frozen/fresh raspberries (for your fruit) - 1 to 1 1/2 c organic unsweetened almond milk (for your liquid)

Note: When you do your grocery shopping, choose ingredients for your shakes to have on hand that you like and eat. Shop for fresh/frozen organic fruits (best to use low glycemic like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, etc), leafy green organic vegetables (kale, spinach), some type of nut butter (almond, peanut, pumpkin, etc) or avocados are good too, then your liquid (almond or coconut milk, non-dairy and plant-based is best). I can't stress enough buying organic/non GMO, so your fresh fruits and veggies are healthy body friendly! We'll talk more about the difference between organic and non on another post.

The diagram can help you visualize how much of each ingredient goes into the cup for a healthy balance.
